I love pudding with a TBSP of nut butter. Delightful! Another great idea is fresh apples with 3/4 c. steel cut oats, 1/4c. raisins, 2 spritzs' of olive oil, and a 2 TBSP of sucanat. Bake them all at 350 for 20 minutes and enjoy. Lots of fiber, sweet tooth satisfied, and no guilt for raiding the fridge.

Frozen blueberries are the best! I buy them in the summer when they are in season and less expensive. (In Oregon, I could pick them for under $1/pound sometimes!!) All you have to do is pop them in the fridge. Eating them is like having a mini-popsicle in terms of taste and texture.

Fruit does the trick! I agree, it has done a wonder for my sugar cravings. I used to have pie, cake, or icecream almost every day (really sad, I know). After dinner now, I'll have a nectarine, some blueberries, or an apple. :) Also, I found that if the blueberries (or any other berries) aren't ripe enough, I just drizzle some agave nectar onto them and they taste great!

I mix 1/2 cup plain, low-fat yogurt with about 2 Tbsp. of a nut butter (peanut, cashew, almond, whichever is your favourite) and I use this as a "dip" for sliced apples. It tastes delicious, is good for me and definitely satisfies my sweet tooth.

I take a half tablespoon of natural peanut butter and 1/4 cup of Fiber One (original only it has no sugar) and nuke them for 15 seconds and mix them together. It tastes like a nutter butter cookie, you get a ton of fiber, healthy fat, and little protein if you eat a peanut butter enhanced with egg whites. Delicious and guilt free!

I absolutely love frozen grapes when a late evening sweet tooth hits. But in a pinch any fresh fruit works wonders.

You are absolutely right which is why I stated not everything on the list would apply to everyone's eating plan. Some people may not be as strict when it comes to the artificial sweeteners. They are alternatives though and may be better than giving into the wrong foods.

How do sugar-free alternatives qualify as eating clean? Don't they use artificial sweeteners, which are not whole or natural foods?
