How to Eat Clean When You Don’t Like Vegetables

I have met several people in my life who cannot stand vegetables. It is like reliving their childhood all over again when you mention eating vegetables in front of them. Eating clean involves eating healthy and vegetables play a big role in the menu for several reasons:

  • You get your vitamins from actual food
  • You get your fiber
  • You can eat a ton and not worry much about calories

What can someone do who doesn't like to eat vegetables? Well, basically you don't have to eat them. You can always go the supplement route as there are plenty of vegetable supplements out there such as Amazing Grass Green Superfood Powder. They may not taste the best but you can certainly chug it down and be done with your vegetables servings for the day.

You can also try adding vegetables into your meals in such a way that they won't overpower the flavor. For example, I find that spinach is a great vegetable that doesn't have a strong flavor when eating it with other food.

If you are a smoothie drinker, you can blend in vegetables but add more fruit so that you can mask the taste.

ADVERTISEMENTS

Overall, I think eating vegetables is always better than taking just a supplement but when you have no desire to eat vegetables, a supplement is better than nothing.

What do you think? Do you dislike vegetables?

I LOVE vegetables! But I also love adding spinach to my morning smoothie. That way I can easily get in 1 serving of greens and a couple servings of fruit along with adding in my flax seeds, bee pollen and anything else I feel I need that day.

But most days I just love a big salad with a big mixture of different veggies.

My hubby HATES vegetable and I want him to ‘clean eat’ with me. I am going to pass this on to him. Wish us luck!

I cannot eat vegetables for nothing. For me it really is not the taste, but the texture; the taste really isn’t all that great either. I don’t eat salad and hardly ever get any vegetables in my diet, and sure it is bothersome to think that i’m not eating healthy. I like the supplement idea though and think that I can be able to drink a glass of ‘puke’ and get my veggie supplement and avoid actually eating them. Thanks for the info!
