What’s For Breakfast?

I love finding new recipes because I like to have a lot of variety in my meals. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but people still tend to skip it due to being in a rush or just not knowing what is a "good" breakfast. How many times have you grabbed something on the go like a fast food breakfast sandwich?

It is nothing to feel bad about but it helps to learn some quick breakfast ideas so that you can make breakfast fast and still stick to your clean eating plan. I have compiled some cool quick clean breakfast videos below to help stick to eating breakfast as well as eating a healthy one.

I’ve been doing something similar to the first one in the last couple of weeks. I usually have some natural yoghurt and fruit for my breakfast but it’s been so cold recently that I fancied something warmer. So I got some oats and made oatmeal/porridge. I then wondered what it would be like to add my chocolate whey protein powder to it so I gave it a try. It tasted fantastic. I usually top of my oatmeal/protein mix with some kind of fruit. Sometimes a banana, sometimes berries, sometimes other fruit. I highly recommend starting your day with this concoction. Plus, it’s got the added benefit of warming you up on these chilly mornings.

Great info Tom. It’s been really cold here in the mornings as well and I like the idea of getting in the protein with a warm breakfast like oatmeal.

I don’t have any breakfast ideas, but I do have a question. I am new to the clean eating life style, like two days new. I have been a vegetarian for 4 years and I am not much healthier than I was when I ate meat. In fact I am nutrient deprived because I have a hard time getting my protein. One of the reasons is because I work nights at a major retail chain and am a full time student. I am incredibly healthy at home, but at work its much harder. DO you have any tips or meal ideas that follow clean eating, but that are easy to make and store. Thanks!

I rely on hard-boiled egg whites, and a 4-grain hot cereal blend (rye, oat, wheat and barley) I get at Trader Joe’s, to which I add unsweetened soymilk, fresh or frozen blueberries, flax, bee pollen and either hemp seeds, walnuts or almonds.

Great post! I have to say egg whites and oatmeal are a great breakfast! Something that I also enjoy are Oatmeal “pancakes”:

1/2C Oats
2 egg whites
cinnamon and 1 splenda packet

Wisk together and cook in pan. The egg white helps to keep it together. Flip when it is a golden brown color. After cooking other side, top with a little almond butter. Delicious!

Wow, I just tried the oatmeal recipe and I am so stoked. I am new to working out and eating clean and until this recipe I was feeling defeated. This coming from the girl who would eat chocolate with every mean if I could. Question though… What would recommend for size portion for someone who is 5″7″ and 129 pounds. I have started back in training but my goal is to gain more muscle without plumping out.
